Personal & Professional ~ Workshops and Growth { Zack Arias, Susan Stripling, Seniorologie, Amanda Holloway Kitchen Sink Workshop }
February 22, 2013I am soooo incredibly behind on blogging! BUT I need to catch you all up (and then I promise to really catch up over the next month or so). :)
I thought I would get caught up during the winter months. Anyone who follows photography or is a photographer knows that usually during winter months, you have a time to catch up. I have been fortunate enough though to have some relatively busy recent months, whether it be personally or professionally. Because of this, I want to take some time to acknowledge those photographers who have really made me the photographer that I am today.
Looking back, I have had such good intentions…I have taken workshops (and intended to blog every last second) and really found the person / photographer that I hope to be one day. Am I there yet? No way! I always see room for improvement and potential to be more than I am right now.
Over the past year and a half, I have learned from Zack Arias (off camera flash extraordinaire), Susan Stripling (master at wedding photography and light), and where I credit my personal successes in Senior Portrait Photography: Seniorologie / Leslie Kerrigan and Amanda Holloway. You see, if I hadn’t attended the workshops that I have or studied endlessly, I wouldn’t be the photographer that I have become.
You should never stop with education when it comes to photography and really learning in general. I met Leslie Kerrigan and Amanda Holloway in April 2012. I can, without a doubt, say that I wouldn’t be the person / photographer that I am today without these two ladies. I can’t thank them enough, but more importantly, I hope that everyone recognizes those individuals that have helped them along the way, whatever the path may be. For me, it’s these photographers I have mentioned and my husband and family and every friend who has ever listened to me go on and on….thank you, every last one of you! I may not say it enough, but I hope that you all know how much I cherish you. And for the help that you all have provided to me personally or professionally…Thank You, truly.
I’ll have more later from Seniorologie & Amanda Holloway, but in the meantime, here are a few images from all of those workshops that I have mentioned.
