Today’s the day!  Kendall graduates from Grayson High School!!

Of all the seniors that I have photographed, I have known Kendall the longest.  I photographed her sister Kelsey in 2012!  It’s hard to believe that I met the Burrell Family when Kendall was in the eighth grade!

It really has been wonderful getting to know the entire family over the years.  I’ll miss all of our shoot planning!!  Melisa has always been a great partner in crime!

Hopefully we can squeeze in one more shoot before Kendall is off to Georgia Southern!!

Welcome back everyone!!  You’re probably shocked to see two posts this week, but I’m just getting started.  ❤️

Do you ever have those moments where you plan and plan something…and then you plan some more…and then it all falls apart?

hmmmm….sounds a lot like normal everyday life, but then I would just be whining and we are here to talk about photo shoots, aren’t we?  

Ok, but seriously though, this shoot was much like some of my other styled shoots.  It felt like the little engine that could, or couldn’t in this case.   No matter  how many times we tried, either the weather or the location wouldn’t cooperate.  Then we pushed it back an entire year.  Yes, you read that right, a year.  Because let’s be honest, you cannot have a Summer themed shoot in the fall or the winter, so we waited.

Happily, the wait paid off and I love the results!!

And Kendall was perfect for this Coachella / Summer inspired styled shoot….don’t you agree??

Fun fact…the ring Kendall is wearing, her grandfather gave it to her grandmother when they were dating…Christmas 1962!!! 

I die over this next outfit…literally dead.  Pick me up off the floor….

It recently occurred to me that while I shared this shoot on social media, I haven’t shared it on the blog.  With Kendall graduating Saturday and Breanna becoming a senior, I figured what better time to share than now!  As they say, “better late than never.”  ;) I personally love fall fairs.  There is a crispness to the night air and all of the glorious smells of the fair food.    Mmmm, mmm….making me hungry just thinking of those funnel cakes. Everyone is laughing and enjoying themselves and having fun at fall fairs. I remember being excited about picking out fun fall clothes.  You usually get to start wearing your boots and it’s really the first time of the season you get a chill in the night air. Not this day.  It was ridiculously hot….and I do mean ridiculous!  Kendall and Breanna (and Melisa, Laura and Jenn) were all troopers though and we sweated our way through the day and the shoot.  TMI??  ;)  Ok, maybe, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at these images!!  ❤️

Sometimes you just gotta break character during a shoot and have a little fun…or in this case dance and a “chest bump.”
